German Gunners Plaque
This is an Original WWII German Anti-Aircraft Plaque. No date but looks WWII. It is a Round metal (pewter?) plaque mounted on wood and has a small metal tag under that. I am told that the translation is "In Commemoration of My Field Service to Poland, France and the East". On the round metal plaque are the words "Flak-Ceschutz-Feuer". The whole plaque is 8 1/4" x 6 1/4". The round metal part is 4 1/4" in diameter. The metal round is about 3/8" thick. The plaque is in Heavy Relief and in Good to Very Good Condition with some scratches to the metal plaque and the metal tab, as shown in pictures. The wood is either repainted or replaced as it shows no scratches. Hanger on back looks old but has been repositioned. You won't find many of these around. Heavy piece.
