This auction is for WWII Binoculars. They were discovered when sorting through a relative's items in storage, and appear to have been there for some considerable time. They have some wear & tear of the casing, and there is damage to one of the eye rests which I have tried to clearly show in the photos. The right lens appears to be clear apart from one black speck & focus seems good to me. The left lens has some clouding & more debris is visible looking through lens. There are three sets of markings on the casing which read; 7 x 50 beh 436436 I originally listed this item without any knowledge or history of these binoculars, I have since been contacted by another ebayer who has kindly volunteered the following information. However, as I am not experienced in such matters I am unable to validate the information & would recommend you conduct your own research & not rely solely on this information. These are German WW2 binoculars made by Ernst Leitz GmbH, Wetzlar (town). The maker later became Leica Camera and still makes high grade optical equipment today. beh is the secret code for that company as used by the Germans .
