This auction is for an original WWII Luftwaffe dagger. A retired friend from the 82nd picked this up during the occupation period. He traded a local citizen a pack of cigarettes for the dagger. The civilian he traded it for had removed the symbols for obvious reasons. Still the dagger is in great condition, has a small dent on lower part of scabbard, dagger is solid and fits very well into the scabbard. This retired vet and I have known each other for over 30 years, we often get together along with other retired vets and trade items, his collection consist of WWI, WWII items and mine are from the civil war mostly, I am a retired police detective from the Fayetteville PD and he's from Ft. Bragg 82nd, we have more items coming up for sale so check us out.
