Original vintage WWII German helmet and gas mask with the original shipping box with correct inspection labels from when it was shipped back from Europe. The gas mask is complete with replacement filters and even has someones name painted on it. The helmet has vintage netting and some foliage still in it. Not sure if the foliage is authentic. Please ask any questions. Happy bidding! Due to the numerous questions about this item, I carefully removed the gas mask which is green and appears to be in excellent or near perfect shape. I also found a small piece of paper in the bottom of the container with the name which matches the name on the gas mask container, maybe someone out t will know what all this means. The small slip of paper is printed as follows: Obgfr. Lippert L23930. 875 1/Le.Flak.E.Abt.93 I just had the helmet, gas mask, and shipping crate looked over by B&L Military Collectibles and I will share the following important information for this auction. The Helmet is an M35 that has been repainted a flat dark olive drab/grey color. The netting is cotton, the foliage may more likely than not be original..not sure though. The helmet liner is ink stamped 57, it is dry but solid and complete with chin strap. The helmet appears to be stamped 68 on the back inside neck edge. The metal edges of the helmet are rolled.
