An apparently unissued WWII era (1941 dated) German Bayonet for the k98 rifle, with scabbard. Maker is " J.Sch. " ( Jetter und Scherrer, Tuttlingen ) Matching numbers and dates. (1941 & 7446) - 1941 was the last year of bayonet production for this maker (they also made surgical intstruments under the trademark Aesulap).Grip screws never tampered with (some bluing is worn from the slotted heads from shelf wear, also some mild bluing wear to the crossguard on the same side).Scabbard stud does not wiggle or rotate. Scabbard throat screw is original, and present. Scabbard has one small and shallow dent on the front, below the frog stud (right side). Waffenamts on scabbard and pommel are: "655". Grip panels are brown bakelite, and have no cracks, chips or other damage (not warped at all) . Press button works fine. Flash deflector is present and fine. Blade has never been sharpened (bluing on edge). Spine of blade dated "41". Nothing repaired / replaced / refinished or non-original to this knife. Bluing on blade is nearly 100%, with just very slight runner wear. Tip is pointy, and blade is full length. Zero active rust, zero pitting (some extremely light surface rust on the bluing of the scabbard that left light stains- visible in photos). NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM- NO EXCEPTIONS.
