German BayonetWWII vintage German army K98 Mauser rifle bayonet. Blade is 10" long. 15 1/2" overall. Blade tang marked: 41 ffc- which the makers code for 1941 Friedrich Abr. Herder und Sohn, Solingen. Right side of tang marked 4563 d, guard marked, 942. Scabbard stamped with unknown symbol in triangle and the frog stud is marked, 3827. T is a German Army acceptance stamp on the latch button, no other markings on pommel. Bayonet does not seat fully into scabbard, stops about ¼" short, see pic. Handle has original burgundy bakelite grips, no cracks. Blade finish is very good, blade appears unused. Nice blue on blade. Blade has old grease on it. Bayonet is in very good condition, perhaps unused. Scabbard is also very nice, with no dents or rust. Bayonet is guaranteed pre-1945 German.
