Choice WWII Luftwaffe NCO and Other Ranks peaked field cap for Flight or Paratroops that was brought back from Ganz, Austria. This is original and complete with all decorations. The round top panel is very clean. However, t are a couple of minor moth nips on the cover that are barely noticeable and a few on the yellow Flight / Paratoop branch piping. Otherwise, the hat is a real beauty. Because of the exceptional quality, I suspect that this was a private-purchase hat. The interior is unmarked except for the size "58" and a black ink stamp on the inside of the leather sweatband "8tab L.G.K. VI." The visor is nice and tight and the reverse is a bright apple green color, with a crosshatched surface. The matching insignia are bright aluminum and in perfect condition. You will notice that the chin strap has been placed on the reverse of the hat vs. the front. This is the way the hat came to me and I felt that I should leave it, as found.
