This is a WWII German M1884/98 Bayonet with composition grips. The ricasso reads...5435...c..the other side..41ddl (41 being the year of manufacture)...The rolled steel scabbard reads..3028....the other side..42asn...This has the petroleum - based composition grips,chocolate in color. This fits the K98 and the K98A2..The Waffen marks are on the pommel...The scabbard is in good condition,no rust,. This bayonet is in very nice condition,the blade still retains the original bluing, the blade has never been sharpened,. The waffen marks are on the hilt ..This is a very nice bayonet ..This bayonet measures 14.7/8 inches with the blade at 9.3/4 inches..The grips still retain their original color.
