WWII German Military Steel World War 2 Helmet

This is a german military helmet from World War II. I was told it was a Luftwaffe helmet. It has two sets of seven small holes drilled on each side of the helmet in a circular pattern. It has no dents or rust. The liner doesn't appear to be original, as it feels like some sort of plastic, and isn't in the best of condition. The helmet itself is though. That's about all I can tell about this item.
