This is a WWII German dress bayonet. Most of these were made between 1936 and 1939. These were custom ordered by the German officers who could afford them. There was the short blade version and the long blade which this one is (blade 9 .7/8 inches) ..overall lenth 14.5 inches. These were made by just about every sword and knife maker in Germany and Austria, some blades were maker marked and some were not. This one is well marked on the ricasso....Carl Eickhorn...Squirrel (symbol) Solingen..Exceptionaly nice blade with very good markings, very good checkered black plastic grips and a very good rolled steel scabbard..The lock release button is missing...(do not let anyone tell you that the Germans made them that way)....Very nice bayonet...We Ship World Wide....
