up for bids is an authentic wwII era civic style german steel helmet. as you can see by the pepper shaker vent holes this is one of the rarer styles used by auxiliary organizations suchas national air raid protection league, the red cross,and the peoples army! this one is painted a flat black with a canvas type liner riveted to a type of cork mounts and a leather chinstrap utilizing sliding buckles. she shows some age and the liner is missing what i think would be the leather adjustment strap and the helmet has some dings but only a little surface rust, seems to have been kept decently well.buyer pays actual shipping no handling, or other trumped up fees! any questions please ask and i will answer to the best of my ability and take the time to research an answer for you thanks and happy bidding!!!
