WWII GERMAN WEHRMACHT FIELD SURGICAL MEDICAL SET. RARE DESCRIPTION: Offered to you is this Very Rare original WWII German Wehrmacht Field Hospital (Lazarette) Surgical Set. Original tropical canvas case enforced with leather straps. Similar ones were used by RommelÂ's D.A.K. The set is in perfect condition for its age and comes in original metal sterilizing container that has retracting legs, which allow it to be heated by a spirit burner lamp or some similar source of heat in field conditions, directly at the frontline. Inside the box tÂ's a canvas set with pockets that contains various pieces of surgical equipment, necessary for urgent first aid to soldiers wounded in battle, and to perform various surgical manipulations. The 50+ instruments are made by the famous German manufacturers Ausculap, Chiron, Martin, Windler, Schwert, Original Record etc, and bear all the markings of the respective company. Some but not all of the instruments included are: amputation saw, various scalpels, scissors, forceps, probes, specula, enema pump tip, mouth opener, tourniquets, bandage packs, surgical needles, head mirror, syringe with sterilizing container and needles, tracheotomy set and more. Dimensions of the case 15 1/2" x 8Â" x 4Â". Very Rare and highly collectable item in great condition. German WWII items were destroyed at a great scale
