Found at an estate. One strap is badly tattered. The shell is quite weathered and has been decorated, but it was obviously done long ago. It almost looks like it could have been a Navy helmet as there is quite a bit of gray visible and salt water environment would be consistent with the lightly oxidized weathered surfaces inside and out. Good bales. No dents or dings whatsoever, and I don't even see any stress cracks on this one. "USA LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT" on one side. "KEEP YOUR FLEAS OFF THE..." (ROPE maybe? It's hard to see). A star on the front and some design across the brim. A "1" stenciled on the rear. I see green on the top. Rough cork finish. If you are looking for a pot to restore, this is a great one. It needs a strap on one side, but otherwise a very sound helmet to work with. Marked "62B" above the brim on the inside. Sold as a project / restoration helmet. This is as-is, no returns. Look closely at the photos to ensure that this is what you want.
