USGI antique military WWII original WW2 world war two us army helmet liner chin strap the leather isn't dark or stained ,... nice good and clean --it is maker marked with a anchor on the buckle DOT is stamped on the reverse of one of the rivets this band is real clean , but shows light use guaranteed NOT to be some post war garbage or modern chinese repro - This is an original U.S.G.I. WWII M1 helmet liner chinstrap, WWII manufacture, not a reproduction, authentic U.S. Army / U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) issue. (The U.S. Army and U.S.M.C. used the same helmets, helmet liners, and liner components during WWII) The chinstrap is in very good to excellent condition. The leather is clean and unmolested, with just slight wear from sitting around for the past 65 + years - I would rate as excellent to mint cond . fully functional and will display nicely over your U.S. Army M1 helmet or liner An original WWII helmet liner chinstrap, This would make a nice addition to your WWII helmet liner
