Hello! This auction is for a M1 Steel Pot helmet, late WWII with swivel bales, Rear seam, cork finish, hook/ball webbed chinstrap. Helmet is in decent shape, given it's use. Liner has seen better days -- head netting is all jacked up, leather strap for front of helmet is cut in half and cracked, and all the internal straps and suspension except the chinstrap will need replaced. The liner has decal markings for 79th Infantry Division, and 314th Infantry Regiment. The 79th fought in the battle of the bulge during WWII and occupation duties in Germany post-war. Military collectors, please check our other auctions -- we're listing some good stuff this week to celebrate Dan's medical retirement from the Marine Corps! If you have any questions please ask.
