This is a HAND SIGNED guaranteed authentic original WWII Life Magazine dated July 6, 1942. The cover of the Life Magazine is a beautiful picture of the US Flag. This would make a great Christmas present. The Life magazine is all original signatures and is signed by the following 52 well known WWII Vets: Band of Brothers 101st Airborne / 506 PIR / E Company: Herb Suerth, Frank Perconte, Wild Bill Guarnere, Ed Tipper, Paul Rogers, Ed Mauser, Forrest Guth, James Benton, and Rod Strohl. The "Band of Brothers" was in most major battles from the invasion of Europe on D-Day to the taking of Hitler's home in the Alps. They held the line during the Battle of the Bulge outside of Bastone. The exploits of this unit is immortalized in the book, Band of Brothers and the 10 part HBO mini series by the same name. Jake McNiece - Filthy 13, WWII Pathfinder General Charles Bond - Flying Tiger Ace David Tex Hill - Flying Tiger Ace R.E. Cole Doolittle Raider Co-Pilot Crew #1 of the famous Tokyo Raid. He was the co-pilot for Jimmy Doolittle. Thomas Griffin Doolittle Raider Navigator Crew #9 of the famous Tokyo Raid. He was shot down over Sicily and captured by the German army. He spent the rest of the war as a POW. Brig. Charles Ozuk - Doolittle Raid - Crew # 3 William Bower - Doolittle Raid - Crew # 12 Charles Lindberg - 1st Flag Raiser at IWO JIMA - Flags of our Fathers General Bruce Matheson Blacksheep Squadron VMF-214. He was sent to the Pacific Theater, and was assigned to VMF-214 Blacksheep squadron under Major Gregory Boyington. Severed in Korea flying escort missions for B-29's. During Vietnam he was a Huey pilot completing several hundred combat missions. James Hill Blacksheep Squadron VMF-214. He participated in action against Japanese forces which included Bomber Escort Missions, Strafing Attacks, Fighter Sweeps, Search & Rescue and Patrols totaling seventy missions. He was awarded three Distinguished Flying Crosses and twelve Air Medals. Ed Harper Blacksheep Squadron VMF-214. He flew both tours with the Blacksheep and then sent to Green Island. On the last flight of his last tour he was critically wounded during a strafing attack, but managed to land his Corsair before passing out. Wayne Johnson Flying Tiger flew as a fighter pilot in WWII with the 23rd Fighter Group in China under Lt. General Claire Chennault. Don Anderson Flying Tiger flew as fighter pilot in WWII with the 51st Fighter Group in China. Leon Frankel--Torpedo Squadron 9 (VT-9) aboard USS Lexingston. On 7 April 1945 Leon piloted a TBF torpedo bomber as part of a Navy mission that sank the Japanese battleship Yamato and cruiser Yahagi; for his actions he was awarded the Navy Cross. Leon was in Israel, a volunteer pilot in the new Israeli Air Force during the war for independence. Navy Cross recipient, 7 April 1945 recipient of two Distinguished Flying Crosses, 1945 Norman Sterrie--Torpedo Squadron (VT-2) aboard the USS Lexington. Sterrie flew the TBD Devastator torpedo bomber during Pearl Harbor and on the morning of December 7th he was aboard the USS Lexington heading for Midway Island. He saw action at Taraw, Kwajalein, Wake, Mille, Palau, Stotlandie, Wolease, Truk, Siapan, the Battle of the Phillippine Sea, and Guam. He was awarded three navy crosses, the distinguished flying cross, and three air medals. Larry Bachman B-24 Liberator pilot completed 35 missions to targets in Germany and Western Europe. John Teman C-47 D-Day pilot he was one of about 1,000 pilots to drop troops at Normandy in the early morning hours of D-Day, June 6, 1944. Teman's group of 81 planes dropped the paratroopers about six hours before the first wave of landing craft hit the beaches at Omaha, Utah, Gold, Sword, and Juno. As a pilot Teman participated in almost all of the major American battles in Europe.
