WWII Long Wool Overcoat with Ruptured Duck Cloth Insignia This auction is for this size 38R Wool Overcoat. WWII issued, and worn. Stamped with the size on the inside, and t is a tag on the inside pocket.(see photo). The coat is 47" in length, and has all the buttons. Very heavy item! It has no rips or tears, but has a few small moth holes. It also has a Victory Eagle or "Ruptured Duck" cloth insignia on the right hand side of this overcoat. This insignia was worn by service personel who were honorably discharged from active combat duty. I was told it also allowed that person to continue wearing the uniform for 30 days after discharged, due to a clothing shortage. All of the military items up for auction were purchased at an estate sale, and all were owned by this one gentleman. He served our country with great pride, and lived well into his 80's. Buyer pays all shipping/handling fees. These are determined by weight and postal code. I charge $1.00 for handling. I package each item securely for shipping. Insurance is optional. We are not responsible for accidents occured during shipping. Payment through PayPal, cashier check, or money order. No personal checks excepted. Payment is expected within 7 days of notification. We ship within 2 business days, and use USPS or UPS. Other arrangments can be made with other carriers if needed. We are not experts that specialize in any specific area. We try to represent all our items as they truely appear. Many of our items are purchased at estate sales, so we don't guarantee perfection. Please ask questions, or for clarifications before bidding.
