World War II Bayonet You are bidding on a very nice United States military issue rifle bayonet. This bayonet was for the M1 Garand (I think), and was made by UFH (United Fork & Hoe) in Springfield. The bayonet was used and includes the olive drab scabbard. The blade measures about 10" long, and the handle is made of heavy-duty ribbed black plastic. The base of the blade says UFH, US, and has a circle with 4 wavy lines emmanating from it. The hilt has a release button. The scabbard is embossed U.S. in a circle with what looks like a flame logo above it. Both pieces are in very good condition, but show obvious signs of age and wear. The blade has scuffs and scrapes, a small ding on the edge, and some areas with surface rust. The plastic handle also shows wear, grime and scuffs. The scabbard has some surface rust, paint flakes, tip crack, and normal scuffs and scrapes. Even with the cosmetic flaws, this is a very nice, highly collectible US military bayonet from WWII. If the correct shipping is the lower amount, a credit or correction will be issued after the close of auction. Buyer pays $6.05 USPS Priority Mail for shipments within the US. Please e-mail for rates outside the US. We will gladly combine shipping when possible. As always, local pickup is free. Insurance is STRONGLY recommended but optional. Insurance rate will be based on final value of auction. Buyer declines insurance at own risk, and iSell Hawaii will not be responsible for any damage or non-delivery. NOTE: We are closed on Mondays, so questions sent from late Sunday to Monday will not be answered until Tuesday at the earliest, and items paid for Saturday to Monday will not be shipped until Tuesday or Wednesday.
