Offered is a U.S. Govt. issue WWII vintage Canvas M6 TOOL ROLL. This type of tool roll was used in many applications during the War, not the least of which was the tool roll that was kept in the Jeep and a bunch of the other light vehicles. I found a small sealed box of these rolls in an old Govt. surplus warehouse that had quite a lot of WWII vehicle parts in it. This roll is in brand new unissued condition. Roll measures approx. 18"x 18" when layed flat. It is marked "Tool Roll M6". It has a leather tie strap which is still flexable and soft. The box that it came out of was dated 1941. I had quite a number of these at one time but most all of them came from boxes that were dated 1944 and were made of the darker late War canvas so this box was the exception with the very early 1941 date. It's hard to believe that a box of these could have survived the War with out being opened! This auction is for one tool roll only and has none of the tools or parts that it was intended to hold. This would be a great item to have with a restored WW2 Jeep!ATTENTION: The tool roll pictured is not the exact one that will be sent. These came from the same sealed box and are essentially identical however t may be some minor difference in placement of the printing on the roll.I have tried to describe the item completely but please see picture for the read more
