Excellent condition early WWII US long bayonet made by Union Fork & Hoe Company and dated 1943 on the blade for use on the M1 Garand and 1903 Springfield rifles. This beautiful piece has its original blackened metal finish with some scabbard wear and has been lightly sharpened, correct original grips are very good condition. Some black paint on the metal parts of grip. Fitted in US Navy MK1 scabbard that is also in excellent condition with a blackened metal throat and green body that has some light wear on the edges. Tough to find these early WWII long bayonets especially with this nice blade condition.
