Description I recently won this in auction, all I needed it for was to scan a few of the images for a project I'm doing. So good luck for all you who bid on this item before. It should go to a better home, someone who collects histories. I've used the same pictures and description with permission of the original seller. From an estate sale are two WWII photo albums plus loose photos and photo postcards of a sailor, his friends and family all taken while he was in the Navy. T is a total of 195 photos. Photos are from different locations with several taken aboard ship. Many of the photos are lighthearted shots of guys fooling around along with some photobooth photos of sailors together. T is a log in the front of one of the albums that mentions he was aboard the USS Hugh Purvis. Some of the loactions mentioned in that log are Sampson New York, Corpus Christie & Kingsville Texas, Pearl Harbor, San Pedro California, and Panama. Also included is an unused oversized multi-view Photogram postcard featuring scenes from Hawaii with We Will Win! Don't Forget Pearl Harbor in the middle. The brown Aloha Hawaii album has 86 photos with 30 loose photos inside. It measures 11" x 7 1/2" and contains a log. Album is in very good condition. The larger blue Navy Airplane album has 35 photos and measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" and is in excellent condition. read more
