WWII Era Original US Navy USN Mark 2 Knife w/Scabbard Marked Camillus NY Up for Auction is a WWII Era Original US Navy USN Mark 2 Knife. The knife is marked: KA-BAR, USN MK2 on the cross guard. The blade is in Very Good Condition. The blade is blue, no nicks or chips, no pitting nor rust. The blade is sharp but shows no signs of excessive or improper sharpening. The blade retains about 75% of it's original finish. The Leather handle is tight and in Very Good Condition. T are some marks on the leather handle from the back of the snap on the scabbard. The cross guard is slightly loose. This is an Extremely Nice Mark 2. The scabbard in also in Very Good Condition. It is the traditional Navy Gray Color. It is marked U.S.N. MK 2 on the front and NORD - 8114, B.M. Co. */* V.P. This is for the Navy Ordnance number, Bechwith Manfacturing Company, and Victory Plastics. This is a nice example of a USN Mark 2 Combat Knife w/Original Scabbard. I am sorry I could not get very clear close up photos of the markings. They are much more clear and distinct than the photos show. This would make a great accessory to add to your WWII collection. Please see photos.
