WWII Royal Canadian Air Force Flight Lieutenant's jacket . Beautiful condition... very, very presentable; no mothing or stains; not dirty by any means, but like all old uniforms a dry cleaning would nicely freshen it up. All buttons present, attached belt, CANADA shoulder titles (left shoulder title is a little loose in one corner, but t's no danger of it coming off), beautiful Flight Lieutenant rank braid and medal ribbons. I'm afraid I'm not particularly familiar with Canadian decorations, but I believe the ribbons indicate the Defense Medal, the 1939-1945 Medal, and the Volunteer Service medal. This jacket, made by a London tailor, certainly suggests that the original owner served overseas. King's (also known as Tudor) Crown buttons made by JR Gaunt London . Jacket shows extremely fine quality tailoring by a prestigious firm which is still in business today, Austin Reed of Regent Street . Dated on maker's label 1/3/43. Named to the officer (his first two initials and surname), along with a 6-digit number which I suppose may have been the order number at Austin Reed. Two inside pockets and a nice outside watch pocket. Size is perhaps around a 34 or 35. Sleeves from top of shoulder seams to wrists is approximately 23 inches, length down the back from collar to coat tails is approximately 29 1/4 inches. It's just my opinon, but read more
