The book lists 49 killed during the war, including a member of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment who was killed 23 June 1944 in France. He is buried at the military cemetary in Normandy. Other interesting items : Soldier listed as receiving the Medal of Honor . However, I can't find his name anyw that shows that happened. Probably was recommended for it and it was downgraded to a Silver Star or something after the publication date. A pilot who was among the first to fly fighters to the USSR from the UK Airman with credit for 67 missions in the ETO. Sailor wounded at Pearl Harbor Twin female Marines Sailor killed near Ireland in 1940 Soldier "accidentially killed" in the ETO Pow's, both Japanese and German held. Sailor who witnessed the Japanese surrender on the USS Missouri As typical of the day, the black servicemen are in the back of the book. Unusual number of wounded in action (including a couple that show "wounded at stateside locations) and a soldier KIA crossing the Rhine. Book in great shape. Less than expected wear and tear. No odor that I detect. Spine tight. No tears that I see. read more
