antique WOOD SHOES GEISHA SHOES! JAPAN This is a nice pair of wood shoes from Japan. they are solid wood bottom and a FABRIC cover for the toes! I got these from a local estate sale auction, that the man was stationed during WWII (2) in occupied Japan. THE FABRIC AT THE TOE AREA IS EMBROIDERED. It is tacked on each side with small nails. The fabric is a wool felt feel with a cotton lining. The measurements are about: 10 inches long3 inches wide(the wides part of toe area) about 3 inches tall (at heel)1 1/4 inches tall at toe tip. It has carved design on the heel.it is painted and the disign is a swan with green leaves. This would be a great collectable! Thanks for looking, God Bless.
