Offered is a WWII vintage Remington manufactured 1903A4 Springfield Sniper Trigger Guard. This original USGI tigger guard assembly is in very good condition and has the rare steel "pad" in the forward screw area. It retains about 75% of it's original thinning blued finish with the finish turning very slightly brown in the areas that would be exposed. Still some preservative grease in the nooks and crannies but I leave the cleaning to the new owner. This type guard was proper on the 1903A4 type sniper rifles to make the action more rigid in the stock. These guards are very scarce and a necessary part if a person is restoring a correct 1903A4 sniper rifle. For a description of this type of guard, see page 249 of Poyer's book "The Model 1903 Springfield Rifle and it's Variations" second edition.
