This is a pristine Sword Hanger, the cordovan leather still at high polish and the brass untarnished due to good storage in a cotton cloth bag. It measure 21" on the long end and 12" on the short. The fishshook clasp is held on by a loop of leather that has a two headed brass button and the leather is slit. This comes from the items of a recently deceased 34 year USMC Officer. If this hanger is deemed younger in age by the ebay militaria experts on whose advice I depend, I will adjust the listing accordingly.
