WWII US Airborne Paratrooper helmet liner. The liner is a original US WWII era Westinghouse with front insignia eyelet. We removed all the old paint with our new process that does not destroy the liner shell like paint remover. We also removed the brass A washers and old webbing. We replaced the webbing with new U.S. production 100% cotton HBT herringbone twill #3 shade tape and we re-blackened the brass A washers with the correct phosphate. The A straps are correctly placed under the A washers and suspension and are the correct eleven row weave khaki. The rivets are the correct size [not the smaller size] blackened brass. This high quality khaki tape is not washed out or dyed old gasmask bag tape. The buckles are a very close match and contour shape to the early war type. The liner was then repainted with the correct WWII liner shade od and it also has the correct liner aggregate [not sand]. This liner also has the New matching HBT nape. The liner has been completely rebuilt and modified to the airborne configuration and could pass as unissued if you didn't know . This liner is very high quality and would make a great addition to any collection. Re-enactors don't miss out on this one, keep the high dollar original at home.
