is a great WW2 U.S. Army Major General's Stars made by the Jewely firm Balfour. Years ago I was fortunate to acquire the military items of Major General James Kirk. He was a 1912 graduate of the Military Academy at West Point. He spent 44 years in the Army and spent all of that time in The Ordnance Corps. I decided to part with some of the extra insignia that he had.The stars are marked Sterling and have the LGB mark for Balfour. I assume he purchased these to wear as a Brigidier General.
