This an Original WWII US Military M-1910 model Canteen from 1942. Vertically side-welded style,aluminum canteen has several dimple dings to body... two marble sized to upper body are most notable...but not too detractive. No rusting or stains at all to body. Has metal screw on cap without cork and cap is attached to canteen body by chain. Crisp Maker stamp to back- U.S. A. G. M. Co 1942. This is the same style canteen as used in World War I and is probably the last production line of this particular model as the overall canteen designs changed around this time. Great Canteen for any WWII 1942 canteen set,general WWII era field gear collection/display,or could be used for Reenactor/Living Historian but wouldn't recommend putting water in it.
