Combat Service Boots Introduced in November, 1943 as a replacement for both the Service Shoes and the Paratrooper boots. (Often called "double-buckles") Made like originals with roughout leather uppers, full integral rubber sole, no internal toe cap and a two buckle cuff with olive drab lining. These did not see widespread use until the Fall of 1944, but they were a welcome change from the atrocious M1938 legging insanity. Imported. Fit: These are patterned from an original WWII Boot which run a half size larger than modern ones. Thus, if you wear a half size, order down, not up. For example, if you wear a 10.5, order a 10. Width: Although they are marked "D", all of our boots are made on an "E" (wide) last. If you have extra narrow feet, an insole and thicker socks may work. For extra wide feet you can try going up a size. Treatment: We recommend that all of our boots be treated with dubbing, Snoseal, mink oil or similar product before field use. Original dubbing is still available on ebay or some surplus stores. A 4 oz. can runs $4-$8 at last check. This listing is for size 13D. Please contact us for complete size information. 10 day return. We accept Paypal, M.O., Certified Check, Visa/MC or AMEX. No other forms of payment accepted! Shipping on this item is $10.00 UPS ground in the lower 48 states. Overnight and Second Day Air
