This is an exceptional grouping which came directly from the estate of USMC LT. Colonel Bowman H. Sweet. He served in the Marine Corps as a navel aviator from 1937 throught 1945. He had achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel by Sep, 1945. This group is exactly as it came, with nothing added or removed. I will keep the buyers information on hand as t is likely more to follow. This sale includes the following. His flight wings are a absolutely stunning set of Amico Stering wings which are 1/20 10K Gold plated. they have a geat patina. Also included are 4 EGA devices which include 2 large visor and 2 smaller lapel devices. Nest is his overseas cap. This appears to have been unworn as it still has the price tag on the sweat band. It has some mothing overall. It also has a nice EGA device at Lt. Colonel Oak leaves. Probably the most interesting item in this group are his two flight log books. These include the dates from March 1941 - August 1945. These books are extremely thorough with all flight information which includes Aircraft, flight time, and destinaton. This gets very interesting as t are numerous entries in the Pacific which included Guadalcanal, Santo, Tontouta, Russel Islands, Noumea, and on and on. Included in these entries are the stamps of the 1st, and 2nd Marine Air Wing, FMF. These books contain several hundred pages of flight entries which could be studied. Also included are 5 visor tops, 2 shirts, 2 ties, and 6 uniforms which include 5 standard twill and one linen version. Are 6 are set up for removable buttons. 3 of them have all of the buttons. 1 has all the buttons with the exception one large, and the other two don't have any buttons. I think this group could provide hours of reserch potential to the new owner. I am putting a low staring bid on the group. If I can answer any questions, please don't be afraid to ask.
