WORLD WAR II U.S. NAVAL GUN FACTORY MARK 37 BINOCULARS Extremely RARE and VERY valuable! Serial Number: 5089 These were a treasured possession of a family member who is no longer with us. They were issued to him when he served our country in the U.S. NAVY. No one in my family is interested in them, so I have decided to list them... hoping that someone who will treasure and appreciate them... becomes the new owner. These will make a spectacular addition to someone's collection! These were issued ONLY to Ship's Captains, Directors, and Artillery Crews. One of the UNIQUE FEATURES of these 9 x 63 binoculars is that they were made from 7 x 50 Binoculars. They measure approximately 9 1/2 inches long and 8 1/2 inches wide. They were made by BAUSCH & LOMB OPT CO It appears that they were made to accept screw-on lens caps for maximum protection. The threads for these are in pristine condition. I have taken close up photos of the detailed specifications on the binoculars. The listing photographs show the actual item you will receive. All photographs were taken outside. T were no color, contrast, or fill light adjustments made to the photographs. Obviously, this is not at all flattering to the binoculars. However, I wanted you to be able to see the worst case views of exactly what you are bidding on. The paint discoloration is quite exaggerated in the listing photographs. These binoculars look much better in person! All adjustments on the binoculars work. You will be absolutely astounded by the clear, crisp, and accurate view of distant objects when using these binoculars. The original leather strap is still attached to the binoculars. One side of the strap needs some mending. Since these have been sitting unused for many years, they do need a good cleaning. Overall, if you are the winning bidder, I believe that you will be quite please with these awesome binoculars. SAME DAY SHIPPING via USPS PRIORITY MAIL Shipping Insurance is Included
I am pleased to say that I am one of eBay's FASTEST Shippers!! Please note: I am listing many items for friends and family who are clearing out clutter and unused items from closets and cabinets. Because no one wants their items back, all items are sold "as is". I do not accept returns. That said, because I am an HONEST SELLER, you can rest assured that if I notice any defects, they will be clearly listed in my descriptions. JThanks for looking... and most importantly... HAPPY BIDDING! Is t any dust visable on the interior of the lenses or fuzzies when veiwing through the binoculars? thanks again Hi again, Not that I can see. In order for you to judge for yourself, I took lens close ups of both ends of the binoculars. It was quite challenging... because the light kept bouncing back from the binoculars lens into the camera... creating flash spots that are not on the binoculars themselves. Hopefully, when you view the new photos, you can discern what is real and what is reflected light bouncing off of the lens. I just added those 2 additional photos to the listing. You can return to the listing now to see them. As with the other photos, I did not allow any color, contrast, or fill light adjustments... so, you are seeing them at their "worst". (I would much rather have a buyer pleasantly surpised to have won an item better than shown, rather than have "doctored" photos making an item look much better than it really is). As with my previous photos, the lens have not been cleaned... so, they are kind of mucky. I don't want to risk using Windex or a similar product on them... for fear that may damage them in some way. The view through these binoculars must be seen to be believed. I remain dumbfounded by their clarity and capability. In my line of work, I have used some of the most "high tech" field gear available... and nothing has matched the clarity, quality, and FINE detail of these binculars (too bad ...
