This is one of a wide range of WWII-vintage items I'll be auctioning this week. Up for auction is a clean and very wearable set of WWII American Optical-designed Army Air Force AN6531 Type II sunglasses. These authentic wartime-issued glasses are in very nice overall condition. The lenses show only some small surface scratches, no nicks or chips. The nickle-plated frame remains very sound, but could use a bit of polishing to look its best (these actually look great when you do polish them, but many choose to leave the age patina in place, as I've done The sweat bar and nose pads are in good, used condition. Similar sets of AN6531s are shown in Mick Prodger's excellent reference "Vintage Flying Helmets". This is a set you'd be happy to wear or display. Shipping to the lower 48 states via USPS Priority Mail w/delivery confirmation will be $6.50 (insurance optional); overseas via Airmail (7-10 days, generally, is $12.00 via first class international (no tracking or insurance -- you are responsible, not me!) overseas via priority mail with tracking and insurance is $24.00 (highly recommended for overseas buyers). I accept Paypal, cashier's checks and money orders only -- personal checks from a U.S. bank will be held for 10 days to ensure clearance. Overseas buyers must use Paypal . Payment is due within 10 days after the auction
