This auction is for a really unique Iwo Jima newspaper. It was printed on the USS Kingsbury just two days after leaving Iwo Jima with a ship full of USMC veterans of Iwo Jima. This paticular copy belonged to a Navy Cross winner. It is 10 pages of printed material and is complete. The newspaper is full of battle accounts. Its amazing to read. I highlighted the account by Pfc. Homer S. Booth from Watertoen, New York. I did a little research on Mr Booth. He was about 23 years old at the time of Iwo Jima and lived to the age of 80.
