A while back I bought a HUGE Marine Corps lot from the family of a WWII Marine that served in the 1st Marine Air Wing on Okinawa and subsequently in China for occupation duty. I have a few more items from the lot and this is one of them. I will be listing more of this lot later this week including , a pair of brown socks, a pair of RARE white socks for the combat utilities, some unworn skivvies and maybe a pair or two of khaki no rear pocket trousers. This is a beautiful pair of WWII USMC Boondockers in size 9D!!! Most ORIGINAL pairs found these days are either really tiny or super huge and post-war dated. These are an actual issued pair in a "human" size with a 1943 contract date. The condition of these is quite remarkable. They look like they were worn very little. The soles have very little wear and the leather is nice and soft and clean. The laces are original as well and were tied just as you see them when I got these beauties. These are name stamped J.J. BARBERA and have a APRIL 30th 1943 contract date, made by International Shoe Company with a NOM contract #. If you need only one pair of these for your collection, these are a must have!
