This WW2 CASE XX Bowie/SURVIVAL KNIFE is ID'ed to a US Marine H.J. Merz, fresh from his estate with a 16" Garand bayonet dated 1942 I will list this weekend. This used knife and scabbard is 15âe long. The knife is 14 ½âe long and the blade itself is 9 1/4âe long. T is some rust and light pitting, as you can see in the photos, but just mainly around the double blood grooves on the logo side of the knife. The weight of this heavy knife is 1 pound, 2 ounces. The black, one-piece handle has no chips and has Marines name carved into handle. The heavy hand guard is made of solid, cast brass. The leather scabbard has some trench art carving of His Girl back home named Betty!! Scabbard is made from thick leather and has a belt loop on it. .
