Right out of the attic! USO stenciled M1 helmet and matching Westinghouse liner. The USO organized 'camp shows' in which performers and entertainers were provided for US troops to boost morale and are still used today. The shell and liner are in good condition with just storage aging, no cracks, etc. The chinstraps to the helmet shell are worn and the liner chinstrap is missing, but the strapping and nape strap are all present. It looks like the stenciling on the liner was scratched off purposely at some point.Although it was not used by armed forces, it's pretty neat that it was used by the USO for their members or perhaps one of their own entertainers at a camp show!
