The smaller book is a 13 page historical sketch written in almost diary form, month by month in 44 and 45. It is not noted who the author is, but t are several mentions of medical officer Benn, and this comes from his estate. The larger book is called First Command and it is written and illustrated by G. Wayne Hessemer, the commander of the craft. It is approximately 90 pages long and spiral bound. This is his first person account of the 44-45 activity. 6.00 shipping.
