HUGE LOT of Approx. 350 Letters, Cards & Postcards from WWII - 1940's Includes Envelopes, Period Stamps for War Support, Telegrams, Newspaper Clippings, Propaganda Stamps to Sell War Bonds, Victory Envelopes, Wounded Toe Tag, Etc.An Historic Treasure Trove - William Reader of Oak Grove, MO You'll receive about 350 different letters, cards and postcards, most still with their postage stamps. William Reader was a private, PFC, Sgt., S/Sgt and T/Sgt in the Army Air Force. His parents farmed in Oak Grove, MO. The 1930 census has him in Jackson County, MO as a 14 year old boy (W. Averson), living with his mother, Mabel and his father William H. Reader, a farmer. His siblings included an older brother G. Vincent, and a younger sister, E. Maxine. (Apparently the family liked calling the kids by their middle names.) Grandfather, George W. Young (Mabel's dad) also lived with the family in 1930.Other information about Reader gleaned from -- Born: Sept. 19, 1915. Died November 4, 2002 in Oak Grove, Jackson County, MO. He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, 101 E 15th Street Oak Grove, MO 64075 , with military honors as a " T SGT US ARMY WORLD WAR II."I have not had time to read through all these letters.
