Wow! Now these are very difficult to find. you have a large size 44/46 David D. Doniger A-2 Flight Jacket in a wonderful russet goatskin. This is original in every way. Complete with cutter tags in the pocket! The ONLY flaw is its lack of a spec tag. It was customary to remove these after the war as they were U.S. Government Property. This is probably the nicest looking A-2 I have EVER seen, bar none! If it were a 38 I would not be selling it, but it's way too big for me.
I have posted the measurements on the scan of the jacket so you can see if it will fit you. This jacket should be worn, it's very strong and 100% original, cuffs, triple marked Talon Zipper, lining everything is original. What a nice A-2 and a very scarce contract. The A-2s made by David D. Doniger are known for having a very uniquelook among most A-2 jackets. They were made with very pointed collartips, epaulets over the body seam, and angular pocket flaps but rounded pocket bodies. The sleeves are also inset, which is more complex to produce than a simple sleeve attachment. Any questions please feel free to email me I will respond ASAP. All......
