Extremely rare and exceptionally well-preserved WW2 German carbine bucket (Karabinertragevorrichtung) for the KAR-98 carbine, as pictured on p. 66 of Richter's "Kavallerie der Wehrmacht." Standard issue to German mounted forces until 1940, but continued in service throughout WWII. Mounts to any German Army Model 25 saddle (Armeesattel 25). Only example of a German cavalry carbine bucket I've seen outside of a museum in over 20 years of collecting cavalry equipment. Unit marked to 1. Schwadron, 4. Reiter Regiment (unit marking is seldom seen on German equipment). All attaching straps present and serviceable, bucket padding excellent. All payments by USPS money order only. All sales final, so ask all questions before bidding. No foreign sales.
