WWII 78th FIGHTER SQUADRON LEATHER FLIGHT JACKET PATCH This is a reproduction 78th FS "Bushmaster" composite leather patch. It is made from pieces of 1 to 1.5 oz. ( roughly 1/32" in thickness ) first quality, fine chrome tanned top-grain leather. Each piece is hand painted and finished with a durable, water-repellent, flexible leather finish before assembling. The paints and dyes are thinned to a water-like consistency and applied in multiple layers for maxium adhesion. I only use acrylic paints, dyes, stains, and finishes that are specifically made for or suitable for working with leather. This patch measures 5" in diameter.
