I have recently acquired a good sized lot of various bayonets and fighting knives. These will all be going up for auction over the next couple of weeks, they are various styles and for various weapons. I am not an expert with bayonets and knives so if I have listed something in error, please do not hesitate to contact me. This item up for auction is a USN Mark 1 Fighting Knife. The knife is stamped with U.S.N. MARK 1, on one side of the blade and RH 35 & PAL on the other. The blade lenght is 5 1/4" long with an overall lenght of 10 1/2" long. The blade does not appear to have been sharpened and shows no apparent flaws other than some scratching from the sheath. The leather washer handle is in great shape with only a minor ding to the leather and the colored bands and also nice with only one spot on the black band near the blade, I tried to photo it in the second picture. T is a little give to the metal end, but this is a great knife, one of the best I have seen. The sheath mirrors the condition of the knife it is also in great shape. The sheath is stamped U.S.N. MK 1 on the front and NORD - 8114 B.M. Co. 1/6 vP, the v has a star under it. T are no apparent flaws to the sheath. This would be a great addition to any collection.
