Up for auction is a WWll and Korean War era USN Knife and sheath. The knife is marked on the handguard U.S.N. Mark 2 and Camillus. The sheath is marked U.S.N. MK 2. The knife has a leather wrapped handle. Other than for some wear and a few nicks, the leather is in good shape. The cap and the handle have just a small amount of movement. The handguard is tight and so is the blade. The blade has been sharpened but look to have retained most of it's original shape. The blade is a little short of seven inches. Looks like most of the original finish is worn off the blade and it has some surface rust, dirt, etc. It needs a good cleaning. The total length of the knife is about 1/16th of an inch shy of twelve inches. As to the sheath, the webbing is tight and the snap works fine. The throat is tight also. I don't see any split out areas. It does show some wear in the surface finish as can be seen in the listing photo's. The back of the sheath is stamped NORD-6581 B.M. Co. Vp. T are some other markings on the back also like a 7 with a line on top and a couple of stars below the Vp. I took several listing photo's so be sure to check them out.
