An original WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy Officer's peaked hat / cap belonging to MASAO NOJIRI. His service number is 4216 (see label on liner). Most likely an early war issue with leather bill, chinstrap and sweatband. The navy wool is in very good condition with no mothing. A similar example can be seen on page 111 of Tadao Nakata's "Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms and Equipment".
