You are bidding on a copy of the very rare X-Men #1, circa 1963. I purchased this comic on E-Bay several years ago and was very disappointed when I sent it to CGC and it received a Restored grade. I did not restore the comic, nor was I told that it was restored when I purchased it. A word of warning to anyone buying highly collectible comics on E-Bay. If you plan to submit the comic to CGC, do so immediately upon purchase. This way, if it comes back as restored, you may be able to negotiate with the seller for a refund, or partial rebate. I waited a few years to have it graded and was left with no recourse. The 2007 copy of the Overstreet Price Guide values this comic at $1,883 in this grade. Due to the restored nature of the comic, I'm starting the bidding at $500, this is 26% of guide value, and a large loss over what I paid for it, due to the fact that it was not declared as restored when I bought it. According to GPA analysis, previous restored versions of this comic in this grade have sold for between $600 and $750. The restored label says: Apparant VG+ 4.5 Slight (A). Restoration includes: small amount of color touch on cover. Off-White pages. The CGC certificate number is: 0101108007 I ship by USPS priority mail. I will also ship to Canada via USPS First Class International mail. I ship securely: I wrap my comics in bubble wrap and ship in USPS priority mail boxes, I then pack the boxes with shipping peanuts. Shipping is based on weight of package and destination, shipping costs include delivery confirmation. I require insurance on any comic over $100. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
