An Original Pair of Victorian Cast Iron Lamp Posts You are bidding for 2 x Cast Iron Lamp Posts Both lamp posts are identical and in similar condition. The top part of the lamps (where you put the light fitting) are not in good order and require repair. The rest of the lamp post is as you would expect for a reclaimed cast iron lamp post. They measure 3280mm from the base to the top of the post (excluding the top light part which is now separate - see photo) The lamps were originally a gas lamp. The posts are hollow and allow an electric cable to be fitted through the post up the a potential light fitting. Buyer must collect and have suitable vehicle to collect them. They are very heavy. Its at least a two person job to lift them. I would be happy to help you load them at my end. The posts are sold as a pair and are both in good order and suitable for refurbishment. Please do not buy these if you are expecting to buy a fully working, fully finished lamp post ready for use.
