Here is a fantastic original advertising sign from the early 20th century, around 1900. Measures 70 1/4" x 10 3/4" x 1 3/8" deep. Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co. was established in 1882 in Chicago. Great all original paint with a wonderful untouched surface. Sand painted on a single board with nailed molding. I have encountered a number of these sand painted signs over the years, but have never seen one done in more than 2 basic colors. Not only does this one have 4 colors, but the quality and execution of the design arethe best I have ever seen. This is an incredible piece for collectors of advertising, tools, signs or primitives.
