I was offered some jobs in a local Folk/Country/Rock trio, and needed a guitar that looked and sounded the part (I usually play a Telecaster). So I went to my local music shop with the intention of buying a new acoustic and while trying some the owner said 'try this', and placed this guitar in my hands, it looked 'well played' and has it's fair share of knocks, scratches, dings, and nibbles all over it but when I played it I was very impressed, even with the old strings it had on it the tone and power was just what I was looking for and I bought it on the spot. I fitted a 'Fishman' pick-up (great pick-ups) and started using it and it did the job just right. I have just bought myself a very nice USA Ovation, so sadly this guitar is up for grabs, so if you are looking for a well played in guitar this could be what you are looking for. OK it's not a Martin or a Gibson and it's been around the block a bit, but it does play and sound well, and has a great action, at the moment it's as I bought it with a medium/low action, but there is plenty of 'meat' left on the bridge saddle to take it down a bit more if you want it lower, but I think it's perfect as it is.
